The Last Ten ANZACs (10 minutes)
This 10-minute documentary contains interviews conducted in 1998 with the last ten Gallipoli ANZACs before they passed way. These ANZACs had some very interesting comments about the appalling conditions at Gallipoli, the Turks, and why they thought it was all a dreadful catastrophe with the loss of 8,000 Australian lives. This video was produced by Gavin Dutfield and David Webster. Commentary is courtesy of Dr Jonathan King.

History of Waltzing Matilda (90 minutes)
Waltzing Matilda is recognised as Australia's 'unofficial' national anthem. It is one of the nation's most loved songs and Banjo Paterson's lyrics certainly strike a chord with many Australians. Written in 1895, Paterson's song speaks the language of everyday Australians. Its informality, simplicity and upbeat melody - the very qualities that gave it such broad appeal - are also the reasons why many thought it inappropriate as a national anthem. After all, the critics argue, how can our national anthem celebrate the theft of a sheep? This 90-minute nine-part documentary takes an in-depth look at the origins of Waltzing Matilda and the life of Banjo Paterson.

Heroes of the Somme (32 minutes)
After the disastrous Gallipoli campaign in 1915, Australian army troops were sent to the Western Front in France to fight with the Allies in the many battles of the Great War from 1916 to 1918. Australia earned itself a great fighting reputation over those three years including battles fought at the Somme, Ypres, Fromelles, Pozieres, Flanders, Passchendaele, and Villers-Bretonneux. In 1998, The French Government held a ceremony to honour many of the Australian troops that fought and died in these battles. The Australian Government took the four remaining WW I veterans to France to receive the French Legion of Honour on behalf of the 300,000 Australians who fought there, including 42,000 killed in action. This documentary tells the story of this moving occasion. This video was produced by Gavin Dutfield and David Webster. Commentary is courtesy of Dr Jonathan King.
